Taking it all in at their first Figure Olympia

Two young ladies who we've been designing for made their debut at this year's Figure Olympia. The stunning, Heather Dees and Monica Specking, wore their new posing suits to take in the experience on stage. We had the opportunity to meet with both of them at the Meet the Olympians which was held at the arena. Each athlete had a station behind a table that had their name plate. Many of them sold photos or t-shirts of themselves while others stood there to meet the fans. We first ran into Heather located at her station. Renee walked up to her and introduced herself. It was so nice to see the surprised look on their faces when they finally met the designer who created these beautiful pieces of art. It was great to see Justin Dees, Heather's husband, who was nearby talking to a friend while heather signed photos for her fans.

On the other side of the room was another one of Renee's clients, Monica Specking. This beautiful young lady, from Paragould, Arkansas, wore her new posing suit with pride. I asked her how she was feeling and she said "I'm just so excited to even be here and get this far". I responded "just take it all in and enjoy every minute of it". The next day were the prelims and both girls would be in front of the judges showing of their physiques in their new posing suits.

We're so proud of these two beauties on their debut at the Olympia and wish them the very best.

Iris Kyle wins her 7th Ms. Olympia title!!!

Wearing a new design by Renee Paz, Iris Kyle wins her 7th Ms. Olympia title. It was an incredible experience attending our first Olympia and the place was full of excitement when Iris came out on stage in the women's final phase of the Ms. Olympia title. She wore her hair different this time which complemented the posing suit. Before the event,  we had an opportunity to meet up with Iris and the rest of the Olympians the day before the prelims started. This was our first time meeting the champ in person even though we've been texting, phone calling, and video conferencing all this time. She gave us a big hug and was so appreciative in making her look good.

On stage, she looked so relaxed and went out there to just do her thing.  She also commented on how well her posing suit fit and that she loves the design. Viewing her posing suit on stage with all the spotlights on her gave me a better appreciation for what we do for these competitors. They just sparkle on stage so bright!

Congratulations to Iris on a job well done!

Heather Dees - great showing at the Europa

Watching the first call-out was visually exiting. Heather Dees was one of the four ladies that the judges wanted to compare. Although she's already qualified for this year's Olympia in Las Vegas next month, Heather still went out on stage and gave her very best. To me, she really looked like she was having fun and that's what this sport is all about- fun. Wearing one of her favorite Renee Paz designs, Heather has a presence that enhanced her beautiful physique.

It was an honor to meet Heather in person and we look forward to seeing her at the Olympia next month. You go GIRL!!!

Michelle Bates-a fierce competitor and a good sport.

I had the honor to meet one of our clients in person, the beautiful Michelle Bates, at the 2011 Europa here in hot Dallas, Texas.  Wearing a new design by Renee, the tall beautiful IFBB pro figure competitor walked out on stage with poise and grace. For me, this was my very first experience attending these competitions. My job was to get a taste of what this industry is all about through the eye of my camera lens. Although I took tons of photos of everything from the bikini models and men's bodybuilding 202 division to the beautiful ladies of the figure division, I experienced what these suits look like on stage. They were VISUALLY AMAZING!

Renee's posing suits really looks great on stage. I had to remind myself that it's not the suit but the entire package. Watching Michelle walk across the stage really gave me a better appreciation of of these posing suits and most of all, the hard work that these competitors have put in their training.

I had the honor and privilege to meet Michelle after her preliminaries to take a closer look at how her posing suit fit on her great physique and to take a few photos.

Visually, she is strikingly tall and over time we will see a fierce competitor when she continues to transform her physique. I gave her some words of encouragement because I know, deep down, that she will make it some day. She has everything in the right place- the right designer, the right trainers, the right stage in her life. All she needs is a little more time and she'll be a force to be reckoned with on the pro circuit.

It was a pleasure to have met Michelle and we want to wish her the very best.
